Tecnova has begun commissioning AgriDataValue Pilot 6 at its experimental centre in Almería, Spain. Two greenhouses, one for tomato and one for cucumber, will support trials of digital management under Mediterranean growing conditions.
The installation includes an environmental station, soil sensors measuring moisture, temperature and conductivity, and a hyperspectral camera. Planned use cases cover irrigation and fertilisation decisions, non-destructive estimation of fruit soluble solids and window control in response to measured greenhouse conditions.
The pilot contributes to a European agricultural data-space programme intended to connect platforms, sensors and analytical tools. The project update describes equipment installation and the validation work ahead, including data collection for artificial-intelligence models. It does not report completed yield gains, validated fruit-quality prediction accuracy or verified resource savings from these newly commissioned greenhouses.
