Source.ag introduced Source Irrigation Control on 7 March 2024 after development work and greenhouse pilots with growers. The system is designed around targets selected by the grower, with AI generating the climate-computer settings needed to pursue those targets.
The company said its approach combines historical observations, predictive analytics and real-time monitoring. In its reported pilot, substrate dry-down targets were reached on 87% of days with the system compared with 37% without it. These are company-reported pilot figures, not a universal performance guarantee. The launch also received a nomination for the HortiContact Innovation Award.
