Yamaha Agriculture announced a Croplands-developed herbicide attachment for Prospr on 27 May. The addition extends the autonomous hybrid platform's role in orchards and vineyards beyond its existing crop-spraying tasks, with operations across the United States, Australia and New Zealand described in the release.

The attachment integrates nozzle control, tank agitation, liquid-level sensing and application-rate adjustment with vehicle speed. Breakaway boom arms are intended to reduce damage from contact with trees, vines and posts. Chemical management options include mixing in the tank or using inline dosing.

Operators can manage the attachment through the platform's planning and multi-vehicle interface. The release emphasises tool changes and broader seasonal use, but it does not provide an independent trial of weed-control efficacy, drift or financial returns for the new attachment.
