Grain SA and Bredasdorp Park published a technology preview on 13 August 2025 for NAMPO Cape, scheduled for 10–13 September in Bredasdorp. The programme focused on using smart technology to manage farm resources. The organiser listed wireless irrigation, web-controlled pivots and IoT-based irrigation recommendations among the planned exhibits.
The preview also covered GPS-guided steering, tank-level and weather dashboards, viticulture fleet telematics, and livestock GPS ear tags with analytics. These were examples supplied for the exhibition programme, not independently tested comparisons of competing products. Together they show that digital farming in this regional setting extended beyond crop imagery to water infrastructure, machinery oversight and animal management.
