Inaho published an updated demonstration of its asparagus-harvesting robot on 22 April 2019. The company’s release, distributed through PR Times, described a 39-centimetre-wide machine and said harvesting time had been reduced by half compared with its earlier version.

The demonstration focused on spring asparagus, when shoots can emerge densely and make selective harvesting more difficult. Inaho positioned the update as preparation for a planned May 2019 release and described a broader ambition to adapt the platform to other vegetables later. Those crop extensions were future plans in the announcement, not capabilities demonstrated by the asparagus video. The report illustrates an early commercial-development problem for agricultural manipulation: improving access and cycle time while retaining the ability to distinguish and harvest the correct plant material in crowded growth.
