In a release dated 10 June 2026, GreenTech Amsterdam announced 4XRobots as the winner of its Robot Challenge. The jury recognised the company’s 4X Delta Cobot for high-speed plant transplanting. The announcement formed part of the exhibition’s opening-day review.
The same release described a Robotics and AI Lab, supported by Robocrops, where growers, technology companies and researchers discussed greenhouse automation. Other programme sessions addressed hands-free cultivation, greenhouse water management, data ownership and professional skills. The award identifies a specific horticultural operation where robotic handling is being developed; it is not evidence that an entire nursery or greenhouse can operate without people. The source does not publish a comparative acceptance test for different plant types and tray conditions.
