Eurofins Agro and Germany's trinamiX announced an expansion of mobile forage analysis using the PAL Two near-infrared spectrometer. The March release adds France, Italy, Portugal and Spain to the application markets, alongside existing availability in countries including Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.

The update makes energy values available across the Eurofins forage applications and adds alfalfa, or lucerne, silage to the supported feed types. The system combines portable spectroscopy with Eurofins calibration models to support measurements near the crop, silage store or feeding area.

The companies position the service as a way to adjust harvesting and rations more quickly. Their announcement establishes product and application availability; it does not present an independent farm trial quantifying milk-yield gains or feed-cost savings from this particular expansion.
