Croplands announced the Robot Ready Pinto Series 2 on 17 August, introducing changes intended to reduce downtime in Australian autonomous spraying operations. The platform combines a 3,000-litre Pinto sprayer, SwarmFarm's autonomous operating system and WEED-IT optical weed detection.

New options include a hopper that connects the machine to a SwarmFarm AutoFill station and a six-wheel-drive configuration for softer or uneven ground. The manufacturer presents these additions as responses to customer experience, with automated chemical and water transfer intended to increase productive field hours.

The announcement illustrates how autonomous machinery development is moving beyond navigation toward the supporting work cycle. It does not provide independently measured refill reliability, daily area capacity or weed-control results for the new configuration. Expected improvements in utilisation and mobility remain supplier claims.
