The Clean Energy Finance Corporation announced a A$7 million investment in Queensland-based SwarmFarm Robotics on 2 October 2025. The commitment formed part of a Series B financing round and came through the Powering Australia Technology Fund. CEFC said the funding would help scale production of autonomous robots for agricultural and horticultural applications.

The announcement reported about 200 robots deployed in Australia and identified a manufacturing facility in Toowoomba. SwarmFarm’s approach centres on relatively small vehicles that integrate implements from partner companies, including sprayers and mowers. CEFC cited potential reductions in herbicide use and fuel-related emissions, but these should be read as the release’s performance claims, with outcomes depending on the task and comparison system. The investment supports manufacturing scale, not just development of another prototype.
