Ecorobotix announced a $52 million financing package on 9 May 2023, led by AQTON Private Equity and Cibus Capital. The company said the package included new equity and financing facilities and would support geographic expansion and product development. At the time, it reported customers in 15 European markets and plans to accelerate growth in the Americas.
The investment centred on ARA, a tractor-mounted system combining plant recognition with highly localised spraying. Ecorobotix described real-time classification of individual plants and a treatment footprint of approximately 6 by 6 centimetres. The commercial significance was the effort to move an established European product into additional markets. Advertised savings and crop benefits in the release were company claims, not uniform outcomes guaranteed by the funding itself.
