The University of Bonn announced AgriLoop, a research partnership with Taiwanese institutions that aims to let greenhouse experts guide robots using natural-language instructions. The project is studying the combination of language models, visual interpretation, three-dimensional plant mapping and robot motion control. Bonn reported €463,000 in federal funding for its share of the collaboration.

A planned demonstrator would translate requests such as inspecting a particular plant or removing a leaf into controlled robot actions. The partners divide work across robotic platforms, greenhouse environments, perception and multimodal AI. The source described a research objective rather than a deployed system proven to understand and execute complex cultivation instructions safely. Expert feedback is central to the proposed design.
