An announcement published on 24 December 2024 by France’s Agroecology and Digital programme described its involvement in World FIRA 2025, held on 4–6 February in Auzeville near Toulouse. The partnership included INRAE and the French agricultural robotics Grand Challenge. A scientific symposium accompanied field demonstrations, an exhibition and industry discussions.

The research agenda grouped presentations around artificial intelligence for agricultural robots, sharing data for planning and decisions, and tools adapted to new farming practices. The announcement explicitly recognised that robots performing specific tasks still face difficulties in complex agricultural environments. This makes the event relevant beyond product launches: it brought questions about perception, adaptation and decision-making into the same setting as machines demonstrated for growers and equipment suppliers.
