Syngenta introduced Cropwise AI as a generative-AI system for agronomic advisers and growers. The September 2024 announcement described combining a conversational language model with the company’s agronomic models, weather history, soil information, crop-growth observations and trial data.
Initial functions included seed recommendations, crop-growth predictions and site-specific input advice. Syngenta said access was available to selected customer groups in the United States and Brazil, with European expansion planned. Computer-vision pest detection and additional sustainability analytics were listed as future capabilities. The announcement therefore marks a staged product introduction, not evidence that all proposed features were already broadly deployed.
