PHITO reported in April 2025 that farmers had tested its first mobile-app prototype between January and March of that year. SmartFarming led development, while a participatory testing process coordinated by the University of Padova involved local partners and structured exercises with users.
At that stage, the Android prototype included a field-management area with a digital logbook and satellite-based vegetation views, alongside a marketplace and community feature called Town Square. Additional advice and library functions were planned for subsequent releases. The account is an update on a testing-stage application, not evidence that all proposed features were already publicly available. Its emphasis was on connecting geospatial information with the practical needs and relationships of smaller farming businesses.
