Naïo Technologies has announced a plug-planting solution for its Oz agricultural robot, extending its work from weeding into the establishment of vegetable transplants. In an October 2026 release, the company described the development ahead of demonstrations at FIRA USA in Yakima, Washington.
Naïo says consistent plant spacing and clearly defined rows help prepare crops for subsequent mechanical weeding. Oz uses RTK navigation to create field maps that can be reused across operations. The manufacturer reports compatibility with more than 35 implements, covering planting, seeding, cultivation, weeding, mowing and crop transport. The announcement presents a broader seasonal role for the compact electric platform rather than a dedicated machine for each operation.
