Kubota announced in August 2020 that its Thai subsidiary, SIAM KUBOTA, had established Kubota Farm in Chonburi Province. The site covered approximately 350,000 square metres and was intended for demonstrations of agricultural machinery and advanced farming practices.

The company described nine zones addressing major crops, including cassava and sugarcane, as well as income improvement and training. Its regional research-and-development subsidiary was involved in adapting machines and methods to local crops, fields and work processes. Dealers and farmers were to be invited to try the technologies directly. The development was a physical demonstration and training investment rather than an announcement of one particular robot. It showed how an international machinery manufacturer sought to connect product development with agronomic and operational conditions in ASEAN markets.
