The joint 17th International Conference on Precision Agriculture and 11th Brazilian Congress on Precision and Digital Agriculture took place in Porto Alegre on 13–16 July 2026. ISPA’s 31 July newsletter records regional discussions held during the gathering.
At the Latin America and Caribbean meeting, participants reviewed collaboration involving Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil, as well as the partnership between ISPA and Brazil’s AsBraAP. Lucas Rios do Amaral was introduced as the newly elected regional representative for 2026–2028. Participants emphasized stronger connections among universities, professional associations and industry.
The newsletter also records a North American discussion about making the definition of digital agriculture practical and producer-focused. These are conference coordination outcomes; the report does not establish new agronomic performance results or adoption rates.
