In a 2 October 2026 trade announcement, GEA introduced a semi-subway installation concept for the DairyRobot R9600. It targets farms seeking fixed-time group milking with automated processes while limiting some of the building changes associated with other installation layouts.
The R9600 concept complements GEA’s full-subway R9650 configuration. The company says the alternative can suit new or existing dairy buildings, depending on herd size, available space and the operation’s preferred milking schedule. GEA planned to present further information at EuroTier 2026 in Hanover in November.
