OPICO announced a four-wheel FarmDroid configuration for display at LAMMA 2024. By placing front and rear wheels in matching tracks, the new layout was intended to straddle crop rows on flat beds and return for mechanical weeding without driving over the plants.

The distributor identified salads, herbs and other narrow-row applications as beneficiaries. RTK guidance and recorded seed positions remained central to operation. A wheel at each corner was also presented as improving stability on slopes. These design changes broadened the platform’s potential layouts, although suitability still depends on the grower’s bed geometry and field conditions.
