FlexiGroBots reported in September 2023 that its Finnish pilot had connected agricultural robots through a mission control centre with workflow and fleet-management tools. Communication used MQTT and project-defined messages, while an agricultural data space exchanged task information between participating organisations.

At the Ruukki site, the team tested an autonomous tractor with a windrower, a mobile robot carrying a weeding arm, and different drones for spraying, surveying and observing tractor operations. The pilot also described a grassland-renovation scenario involving nine autonomous robots. This was a research integration effort: the central contribution was coordinating heterogeneous equipment and services, rather than announcing a single finished commercial machine. The report distinguished the farm, drone operator, ground-robot operator and AI service provider as separate participants in the workflow.
