FarmDroid introduced the FD60 on 1 September 2026, according to launch coverage by Future Farming. The manufacturer’s product information specifies up to 6.75 metres of working width and up to 20 crop rows, with a nominal seasonal capacity of about 60 hectares.
The robot records seed positions using RTK GNSS and later uses those coordinates for mechanical weeding within and between rows. FarmDroid describes this as an extension of its existing FD20 approach, rather than a camera-based crop-recognition system.
Solar panels charge the battery, with a range-extender generator available when solar input is insufficient. The manufacturer quotes daily capacity of up to 18 hectares; actual output will depend on the field and operating conditions.
FarmDroid says deliveries start in January 2027 and plans to show the machine at Agromek in November 2026. The launch therefore represents an announced product with future deliveries, not evidence of an established FD60 fleet in commercial service.
