Kilter published an operating-data milestone on 8 September 2026 for its AX-1 precision-weeding robots. The company reported that 54 machines treated 4,265 hectares between 1 January and 16 August across Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia. It calculated more than one million litres of avoided herbicide mixture against a conventional broadcast baseline of 250 litres per hectare.
AX-1 combines vision-based weed recognition with targeted droplet application. Kilter said the calculation used customer-farm operations and excluded testing and quality assurance. The distinction between spray mixture and active ingredient matters: the published volume is not a direct measurement of a million litres of concentrated herbicide avoided. This is a company-reported fleet metric with an explicit reference scenario, rather than an independent comparison of every treated field.
