Carbon Robotics launched its LaserWeeder G2 family on 10 February 2025. The company described a modular range spanning 2.0 to 18.3 metres, with configurations for specialty vegetables and herbs as well as wider organic corn and soybean systems. These were tractor-mounted implements, rather than a claim that the tractor itself operated autonomously.

The redesign included 240-watt lasers, updated NVIDIA processors, revised camera optics and liquid cooling. Carbon said the machines could operate up to twice as fast as the preceding generation and that its 20-foot model was lighter. Those were manufacturer comparisons, not universal field guarantees. The release also described connected software for monitoring machine performance and uploading images, illustrating how weed-control hardware and model maintenance were being developed together.
