CHC Navigation published its NX612 announcement on 6 February 2025, carrying a launch dateline of 17 January. The Shanghai-based company presented the system as a way to add automated steering to agricultural machinery used for seeding, spraying and tillage.

The package combined a steering-wheel motor with a 12-inch display and supported several satellite-positioning and correction modes. Guidance options included straight and curved paths, while the stated vehicle compatibility extended to articulated and tracked machines, rice transplanters and self-propelled sprayers. CHCNAV also described ISOBUS functions for communicating with implements. Its advertised steering accuracy was a manufacturer performance claim rather than a universal field guarantee. The development illustrates the retrofit route to precision farming: improving guidance and implement coordination on existing machines without necessarily replacing the entire vehicle.
