ATB announced a new international robotics alliance following a memorandum signed at the French Embassy in Berlin on 16 January 2026. The eight partners include ATB and Agrotech Valley Forum; the institute also highlighted cooperation with INRAE and Wageningen.
Planned priorities cover autonomous work in high-value crops, harvesting and fruit-tree pruning. The agreement also calls for applied research and standardisation to support safe, AI-enabled agricultural machinery. Resource efficiency, including pesticide reduction and improved water use, forms part of the agenda. Farmers, equipment makers, certification bodies and policymakers are expected to contribute through consultations and public activities. The announcement establishes a framework for longer-term collaboration; it does not report a new commercial robot or quantified field-performance results.
