ATB’s Fieldlab for Digital Agriculture celebrated its tenth anniversary in July 2025. The institute took over the Marquardt site, northwest of Potsdam, from Germany’s Federal Plant Variety Office on 1 July 2015.
Covering more than 20 hectares, the site supports long-term studies, crop-production experiments and demonstrations of digital applications. ATB described the opportunity to develop and test technologies under real farming conditions as a central benefit of the facility.
The anniversary also highlighted the Fieldlab’s shared role. Regional research institutions and project partners use the experimental grounds alongside ATB teams, with a user advisory board coordinating access. The announcement presents the site as continuing research infrastructure for collaboration and practical evaluation of agricultural technologies.
