On 22 September 2025, DLG announced the Agritechnica Innovation Awards ahead of the Hanover exhibition. Its jury selected two gold and 22 silver medals from 251 submitted innovations, with 234 admitted to the exhibition innovation list. Gold recognition went to the Line Traction drive concept developed by Müller Landmaschinen with Aebi, and to CLAAS’s overall concept for a 70-tonne big baler.

The published descriptions also illustrate a broader trend towards sensing linked directly to operation. Silver-winning developments included Lemken’s automated pneumatic seed-drill fan control and camera-based forage-quality systems from several manufacturers. The awards assessed practical utility and process improvement. They should therefore be read as recognition of particular technical concepts, rather than a league table of agricultural robotics companies or a guarantee of performance on every farm.
